My work is very much process oriented.  I begin by collecting objects found in nature, as they repeatedly spark my interest and work intuitively in a three-dimensional way to explore possibilities.  Through this repeated experimentation I come up with ideas and processes that then change, expand or are dismissed.  I am constantly striving to keep a balance between two different systems, that is an organic system and a system of formal design.  My interests in pattern, design and repetition continually lead me to the inclusion of things such as lines, grids and other geometric forms.  On the contrary, I am equally interested in nature and its unpredictability and materiality.  Combining these two systems creates a tension and often explores ideas of what is normally considered as belonging in interior and/or exterior spaces.
